crappy renders

I already knew that my renders suck, but, now, there's The List to confirm my suspicions. All my renders are test renders, so, according to point #6, they all suck. Oh well...I knew that already, and I don't seem to care that much...I'll never become an artist this way though :(

So, even though there are some images below this text. Don't waste your time, there's nothing to see here, move on...






I should stop sculpting heads and try something different, but, since BlendingLife 2 seems to be close, I'm assuming I'll keep the heads going for a while. I'd like to finish my entry this time.

    gotta love the happy look that the gnomy guy has on his face...

    regarding that list..it was a bummer..everyone could find stuff on it that qualifies for the list..me actually got full score on it.but who cares ... it was just someones opinion and i think it didnt do much good for the community...

    Hey Nixon! Always nice to read your comments :) the happy look of the gnome is the happiness of victory :D I've finally been able to pull off that smile, last time I've tried it ended up with some big scars on the model.

    And...yeah, that list...well, you're right, it got some good points, but nothing to really worry about :)

Some days ago, I caught myself ranting while doing a test recording for a tutorial. I've been asked several times to produce a sculpting tutorial, but, since I'm still learning and still trying to figure out a lot of things, always ended up with the feeling that everything I could say has already been said. Everything should happen in the 3D View Following what I said in my UI proposal some time ago, and with Dyntopo having its options in the Tool Shelf, I've made some adjustments to my default Sculpt layout. Only the 3D View with an open Tool Shelf is needed to start sculpting now, removing even more unnecessary choices and making access to Sculpt Mode in Blender easier. Ctrl+UpArrow shows the full layout which contains the 3D View, an Outliner set to 'visible layers', and the Properties window. With this layout you can sculpt various objects without having to leave Sculpt Mode, selecting them from the Outliner.
